Cílem předmětu je naučit pohotově a bezproblémově používat jazyk při výkonu povolání, komunikaci s pacientem, jeho rodinou, spolupracovníky. Kultivovat celkový osobní projev, chování a vystupování ve vztahu k cizincům a umožnit vyšší mobilitu a uplatnění na trhu práce.
Výstupy z učení
- používat slovní zásobu včetně vybrané frazeologie specifické pro obor - odvozovat významy neznámých slov na základě osvojené slovní zásoby, znalosti tvorby slov, internacionalismů a kontextu - dohovořit se anglicky v běžných komunikativních situacích - používat základní lékařskou terminologii - používat anglický jazyk v základních administrativních činnostech - reprodukovat přečtený přiměřeně náročný odborný text - logicky a jasně strukturovat písemný projev.

Introduction: The module ”Body Systems” deals with anatomy and physiology of the various systems. Students learn how to take information from both written and oral texts and from visually presented material such as tables and diagrams. The lessons are based on material which should be familiar to students from their nursing studies, including various topics from anatomy and physiology.
