Cíle předmětu
Cílem předmětu je naučit pohotově a bezproblémově používat jazyk při výkonu povolání, komunikaci s pacientem, jeho rodinou, spolupracovníky, kultivovat celkový osobní projev, chování a vystupování ve vztahu k cizincům,umožnit vyšší mobilitu a uplatnění na trhu práce.
Výstupy z učení
- pracovat se zdroji informací, se slovníkem, jazykovými příručkami
- používat slovní zásobu včetně vybrané frazeologie specifické pro obor
- odvozovat významy neznámých slov na základě osvojené slovní zásoby, znalosti tvorby slov, internacionalismů a kontextu
- dohovořit se anglicky v běžných komunikativních situacích
- používat základní lékařskou terminologii
- používat anglický jazyk v základních administrativních činnostech
- reprodukovat přečtený přiměřeně náročný odborný text
- logicky a jasně strukturovat písemný projev
Osnova
  • Introduction:
    This module, Language Skills in Medicine, is concentrated on the particular language skills such as speaking, reading, listening and writing. The purpose if this modul is to improve the ability to speak with patients and their relatives, with medical colleagues and paramedical staff. It is intended to develop both their speed and their accuracy in reading medical articles.

    - to improve particular langauage skills – speaking, reading, listening, and writing
    - to give the practice in asking questions, instructing and explaining
    - to improve the ability to follow spoken English more easily and accurately
    - to develop the skills needed to understand a range of medical texts
    - to cope with reading of all kinds from documents to journal articles
    - to practise listening to an English speakers, patients, doctors, nurses speakers at medical conferences
    - to improve the ability to present written medical information in English
    - to be able to fill in the medical papers

  • The Module: Body Systems
    Type of the subject: compulsory

  • Introduction:
    The module ”Body Systems” deals with anatomy and physiology of the various systems. Students learn how to take information from both written and oral texts and from visually presented material such as tables and diagrams. The lessons are based on material which should be familiar to students from their nursing studies, including various topics from anatomy and physiology.

Informace učitele
Předmět je koncipován jako praktický a poskytuje znalosti z gramatiky a terminologie, klade důraz na získání jasného odborného zdravotnického jazykového projevu. Zvládnutí základní slovní zásoby je předpokladem pro komunikaci v zahraničí. Poskytuje komunikativní dovednosti v obecných a odborných tématech.
